The six bungalows are built from local ironwood and open onto private verandas facing the terraces — the view changes colour through the day and is at its best just after sunrise. Breakfast is cooked to order and served on your veranda: black rice pudding, fresh fruit from the garden, and Balinese coffee. The family runs free morning walks through the paddies and can arrange a cooking class in the open kitchen. Ubud's Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridge and the Saturday art market are all within a 10-minute drive, and the homestay keeps two scooters available for guests at no charge.

The road in is narrow — take it slowly if you're on a scooter.
